A Tribute to a Princess I felt compelled to draw a tribute portrait of Princess Diana. I wanted to finish this drawing before this coming Friday, August 31, 2007, which will mark the 10th anniversary of the tragic death of the Princess, however, I worried I wouldn't finish it in time. I didn't know how long it would take me because sometimes it can take me days to get a drawing just right. I finished the drawing in a few hours and was amazed at how fast I was able to complete it.

Princess Diana, Princess of Wales was killed in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris, France, along with her companion Dodi Fayed, and their driver Henri Paul. Fayed's bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones was the only occupant of the car who survived the accident.

Princess Diana was stripped of her title as princess but is still considered "Princess of the People". She was a philanthropist whose charity work not only touched the heart of those whom she helped but also those that admired her for it. She suffered emotionally through a painful marriage, pressure from the media and the Royal family and bulimia and somehow still found the emotional energy to be a loving mother to her two sons and to have honest compassion for "the man on the street".

I saw an interview she gave where she discussed her emotional struggles and it helped me find some much needed strength. I always believed I only needed to look in the mirror to find my strength through life's ups and downs and have recently felt that I have let myself down. I think I have a new role model. We love you Diana...you will always be remembered!

I'm thinking of selling or auctioning this drawing and donating all proceeds to either her memorial fund or charities that are in line with her charitable interests.

New Section Update. I have created another new temporary section to my site which will showcase my photography. I will divide them into a sub-category system of some sort. I plan on doing a website revamp after the commencement of my hosting contract so watch out for it! :) The revamp will add photography and Code Samples as permanent categories to my site, along with one or two others. My current server does not have all the technological features I would like so I am keeping my eyes open. With the new coding capabilities the new server will afford me I will also be recoding the gallaries for easier updating and improved functionality.

We have just launched web site for a wonderful organization that helps displaced children find a loving home. Please visit The Heart Gallery of Brevard's web site. Each child has a page dedicated to them. There is a description of the child, photographs and video so that the potential parent may get to know their child prior to the adoption process. Please note that there is a sign-up process to view the childrens' individual pages.

The dreaded data loss curse has struck! It's certainly a day to morn, for me, at least. Today marks the day of the death of my computer back up drive. It served it's purpose last month to back up the data loss on my PC and now, well, it has struck my back up drive. All was lost except for a few remenents of data that I had scattered about on different computers and random disks. This will delay the rest of this site going live, including the posting of my demo reel. But please check back soon!
